Spartan Rumble

On Sunday February 10, Mt. Zion Wrestling club had 19 kids go to Danville, Illinois for the Spartan Rumble Wrestling tournament. With over 800 kids wrestling in the tournament the Mt.Zion kids came away with a 33-22 overall record for the day with five first place finishes.

The results from the tournament were:

5-6 year olds: John Bowling – 2nd place;

7-8 year olds: Jeric Longfellow – 1st place, Grant Edwards – 3rd place, Andrew Pierson – 7th place;

9-10 year olds: Ryan Scharf – 1st place, Cole Geisler – 1st place, Robert Bennett – 3rd place, Zack Stroud – 3rd place, Jacob Morgan – 4th place, Cody Riley – 4th;

11-12 year olds: Nathan Josza – 1st place, Adrien Payne – 1st place, Jake Eckenrod – 3rd place, Brock Elliott – 3rd place, Cody Cannon – 4th place, Colton LeCrone – 4th place, PJ Riley – 5th place, Ryan Scharf – 5th place;

13-14 year old – Nick Stroud – 4th place.
