2008 Taylorville Regional

On Saturday, February 23rd, the Mt. Zion Wrestling Club took 33 kids to the central regional tournament at Taylorville, Illinois. With 16th teams there, the Mt.Zion Wrestling Club finished 2nd in the Bantam Division, 6th in the Midget Division, 1st the Novice Division and 5th in the Senior Division congratulations to all the kids for their hard work this work. For the Midget, Novice and Senior Division kids good luck at the Sectional Tournament. The results from the Central Regional are:

Bantam Division: Kooper Loehr – 1st place, Gus Wheeler – 1st place, John Bowling – 2nd place, Nate Bowling – 2nd place, Grant Edwards – 2nd place, Parker Lindsey – 3rd place, Peyton Lindsey – 3rd place, Egan Bender – 3rd place, Andrew Wike – 3rd place, Bowen Bender – 3rd place, Austin Cannon – 4th place, Reese Edwards – 4th place;

Midget Division: Robert Bennett – 3rd place, Cody Riley – 4th place, Jeric Longfellow – 4th place, Mikalan Evans – 4th place;

Novice Division: Jake Eckenrod – 1st place, Nathan Jozsa – 1st place, Brock Elliott – 1st place, Adrien Payne – 1st place, PJ Riley – 2nd place, Colton LeCrone – 2nd place, Jacob Morgan – 2nd place, Ryan Scharf – 2nd place, Zack Stroud – 3rd place;

Senior Division: Scott Lake – 1st place, Mason Clark – 1st place, Nick Stroud – 3rd place.

Also congratulations to Austin Thatcher placing 3rd in the 70lbs division of Novice and Collins Hopkins placing 2nd in the 122lbs division of Novice from Warrensburg Wrestling club.
