Mt. Zion Wrestles at IKWF Kids Open

On Sunday, the Mt. Zion Kids Club sent 11 wrestlers to the IKWF Kids Open in Peoria. The Kids Open was the only youth wrestling tournament in the state this weekend and had close to 2,000 participants. The event was held at the Peoria Civic Center with a crowd of approximately 8,000 fans cheering on the wrestlers.

Mt. Zion held their own finishing in the top 1/2 of all teams participating in the event. Brock Elliot won the 101 lbs Novice Elite Division.
