John Bowling Participates on Illinois Team Elite Dual Team-Wins National Championship

Mt. Zion Kids Club Wrestler John Bowling pariticpated on the Illinois Team Elite Dual Team this weekend in the AAU National Duals in Kingsport, TN. The team knocked off Iowa in the Championship Round to win the National Title.

 

Grant Naylor Named MSND All-American

Grant Naylor was named to the Middle School National Duals All-American team for his outstanding performance.  Teams from across the country participated in this event.  Grant was representing the IESA All-Star Dual Team.  Congratulations to Grant!

  

Ryan Scharf Wins Midget State

Congratulations to Ryan Scharf on his Midget State Championship in Danville.  The entire team wrestled very well with every team member winning at least 1 match. 10 year olds, Zack Stroud and Jacob Morgan each came within 1 match of placing in the top 8. 9 year olds, Cole Geisler and Robert Bennett both wrestled tough and 8 year old Jeric Longfellow gave the state a glimpse of Mt. Zion's bright wrestling future.  

 

Brock Elliot Places 4th at IKWF State

Congratulations to Brock Elliott on his 4th place finish at the IKWF State Tournament in Rockford.  He along with the other Mt. Zion Wrestlers all represented the club very well.  Jake Eckenrod, Nathan Jozsa, Adrien Payne, and Mason Clark each won at least one match at the state tournament.
